Atmospheric classical music in the open air: for the sixth time, the traditional family-owned company Haniel, Deutsche Oper am Rhein and Kulturbetriebe Duisburg, together with the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra, invite you to the great concert event for free and outdoors!
In the magnificent setting in front of the theatre, you will experience the top-class soloists of the ensemble, the opera choir and the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of the new chief conductor Vitali Alekseenok. Götz Alsmann will lead through the programme in his usual entertaining and well-informed manner. As special guests this year, we are looking forward to an atmospheric "cross-over" with the Cuban artists Olvido Ruiz (vocals) and Marialy Pacheco (piano), who know how to combine traditional Cuban sounds with jazz elements and orchestral sound colours.
