Who hasn't experienced the feeling of being “slowed down”? What situations and experiences slow us down and how can we remove “brake blocks” to enable positive personal and social developments, to become creative and to feel free? With 10 citizens between the ages of 24 and 87, three professional performers and the musicians Max Wehner (trombone) and Peter Eisold (drums & electronics), the VolXbühne uses personal stories, live music and video screenings to explore the analogy between the physical phenomenon of braking force and our own lives.
Following SUBCUTIS, BREMS:::KRAFT is the second part of the multi-year project series, which focuses on the transferability of physiological and physical phenomena to interpersonal, emotional and social processes.
A production of VolXbühne - Ensemble der Generationen am Theater an der Ruhr and A.TONAL.THEATER (Cologne) in cooperation with Freihandelszone - Ensemblenetzwerk Köln and Alte Feuerwache Köln. The production and the VolXbühne are funded by: Ministry of Science from the Diversity Fund NRW and Kultur NRW and the MEG - Mülheimer Entsorgungsgesellschaft.
