Choral Concert

Quick Info

with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Chorus

Last season, in operas such as Saint-Saëns’ ‘Samson et Dalila’, Tchaikovsky’s ‘Queen of Spades’ and James Reynolds’ contemporary opera for families ‘Geisterritter’, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Chorus once again demonstrated its versatility, combining balanced vocal power with acting flair. This season the singers present some of what they have to offer beyond their essential contribution to the performances in repertoire in their own concert. The musical menu includes Johannes Brahms’ ‘Schicksalslied’ op. 54, Edward Elgar‘s ‘Lux Aeterna’ and Leonard Bernstein’s rousing ‘Chichester Psalms’ in a chamber version for a smaller choral and instrumental cast.
