In his award-winning novel Geisterdämmerung (Matthes & Seitz Berlin 2025), which has just been translated into German, Taiwanese author Kevin Chen creates a cross-border space of the living and the dead, in which family secrets and a crime are hidden, but also a tireless desire for freedom flashes between curiosity and strangeness, power and desire. In conversation with the author, we discuss the personal and political ghosts that haunt his characters - and a queer identity between continents and cultures. Members of the ensemble will read excerpts from the novel.
