“murmur” is acrobatic sound theater. At the center: Camiel, the composer, and two large loudspeakers. Camiel is no ordinary composer. He jumps, falls, rolls, and flies across the stage, creating a world of sounds. And we, the audience around him, are more than just observers. Equipped with small backpacks, we become explorers, travelers through a vivid soundscape. The purring of a cat sounds from a bag, a swarm of bees flies through the air, two arms create the sound of cars. The sea becomes the wind, the wind becomes breath. The world and its stories come alive inside us, in our imagination. Everything and everyone becomes part of a whirlwind of whispers and rustles in “murmur.”
