In “NACHTBLAU - Chanson for an Absent Person”, actress and singer Meret Becker and musician Dietmar Loeffler revive the chanteuse Barbara, who is still not as well-known in this country as she deserves to be. Barbara is one of the great representatives of French post-war chanson. She was one of the first female chanson performers to start composing, writing lyrics and accompanying herself on the piano. This was her breakthrough and she became a pioneer for many subsequent artists.
