Quick Info
Three bodies. Three principles of movement. In “Concrete,” the trio Knot on Hands distills partner acrobatics to its essence. Three characteristic dynamics give rise to a clear narrative arc: ‘Roll’ opens the evening as an organic stream of movement, ‘Weave’ condenses rhythmic patterns into vivid images, fragile and powerful at the same time. Finally, in ‘Stay,’ the trio defies gravity. The gaze tilts, perspectives shift, and the relationship between body and space is rearranged. With astonishing precision, Knot on Hands zooms into the choreographic material, slows down, focuses, and lets the movement itself become the driving force of the evening—a cycle that ignites again and again. Britt Timmermans, Mario Kunzi, and Tijs Bastiaens met at the Codarts circus school in Rotterdam. After several short pieces, they present their first full-length creation with “Concrete.”
