Another has to deal with the fact that his friend not only has a room to himself, but also has a smoking volcano on the cupboard. Another one doesn't want to go to a retirement home to watch his great-grandfather die. In shortcut-like scenes, Freyer shows us a round dance of characters who wrestle with themselves and others, who circumnavigate everyday abysses and ignite a comforting comedy in the process. At a time when reality seems to have long since eclipsed fictional dystopias, Freyer's characters are downright encouraging. Theresia Walser
