How do you talk about it, about the supposed arrival as a child of migrant workers in the affluent West of Germany? From the memories of the permanently stressed mother who had to rush from job to job, the child parked somewhere with a painting pad during the cleaning shifts? Of the Germans who have seen through them? How do you talk about it if you don't want to spread the kitsch of suffering, if you don't want to slip into classist clichés, if you don't want to write a 'working-class memory'? "Juices" finds a winding path of three voices, which in the end present the bill of the "FRG" in an angry speech for their arrogance and their self-deception that they have achieved everything by their own strength.
